Description
Halistemma rosea, or the Rose String Jellyfish, is a species found in the deep sea, specifically in the mesopelagic to bathypelagic zones. This species is distinguished by its pinkish hue and long, thin tentacles. Like other members of the Halistemma genus, it is bioluminescent. It has a relatively small, compact body with a size of about 5 centimeters in diameter. It feeds on zooplankton and small fish.
