Retracta Coral [Goniastrea retracta]

Description
This species of coral is found in the Red Sea and the western Indian Ocean. It forms massive or encrusting colonies with corallites that are clearly separated by walls. The corallites retract into the coenosteum, giving the colony a smooth appearance when the polyps are retracted.
