Regal Demoiselle [Sceptrella regalis]

Description
The Regal Demoiselle, or Sceptrella regalis, is a small, vibrantly colored marine fish belonging to the family Pomacentridae. It is native to the coral reefs of the Indo-Pacific, particularly around the Red Sea and the Persian Gulf. It is characterized by its iridescent blue body with a distinct yellow-gold stripe running from its snout to the base of its tail. This species is diurnal, spending the day darting amongst the coral to feed and retreating to the safety of the reef at night. Males are known to be territorial.
