Red-gilled nudibranch [Ute stansburyi]

Description
The red-gilled nudibranch is a species of sea slug, a marine gastropod mollusk in the family Tritoniidae. It is a medium-sized nudibranch, and can be recognized by its long body with a narrow foot, and its distinctive red gills. The body is translucent white in color, and the dorsal surface is covered with small tubercles. This species can be found along the Pacific coast of North America, from British Columbia to Baja California. It prefers rocky habitats and feeds primarily on octocorals.
