Princess Scallop [Aequipecten radians]

Description
The Princess Scallop, or Aequipecten radians, is another species in the Aequipecten genus. This species is native to the western Atlantic ocean, specifically in the Caribbean Sea around the coast of Florida. It is slightly smaller than the Queen Scallop, with a shell size of around 20-30mm. The shell is circular with a slightly flatter lower valve. It has about 30-35 ribs and is usually light pink or orange in color.
