Description
Distichopora rosacea, commonly referred to as pink coral, is a species of hydrozoan in the family Stylasteridae. It is found in a range of marine habitats, primarily in the deep sea. This species is characterized by its pink color and branching structure. The polyps, when extended, give the structure a fuzzy appearance. When threatened, the polyps retract, revealing the solid, branching skeleton.
