Description

Also known as the Helmet Jellyfish, this species is found in every ocean of the world, in depths ranging from 0 to 7000 meters. It is bioluminescent and can produce flashes of light. It has a bell shape with a diameter of up to 30 cm, and can have up to 12 tentacles. The body is mostly transparent, but can show a reddish-brown coloration.
