Periphylla hyacinthina [Periphylla hyacinthina]
Description
This species is quite rare and is known to inhabit the depths of the tropical Atlantic Ocean. It shares many physical characteristics with the P. periphylla, but generally has a more intense reddish hue. Like other members of its genus, it is also bioluminescent.
