Pearly Monocle Bream [Dischistodus prosopotaenia]
Description
This species is known for its silvery-white body and a black band running from its eye to the caudal fin, hence the 'monocle' in its common name. It is found in coral reefs throughout the Indo-Pacific region, from East Africa to the Tuamotu Islands. It typically lives in small schools and feeds on algae and small invertebrates.
