Description
Also known as the Discus Ray, this species is native to the Amazon and Orinoco river basins in South America. It is a freshwater stingray that prefers slow-moving or still waters with soft bottoms. It is characterized by its circular, flat body and long, whip-like tail. Its color varies from greenish to brownish, with a whitish underside.
