Parasitic isopod [Gyge ovalis]

Description
Gyge ovalis is another species of parasitic isopods in the family Bopyridae. They inhabit the branchial chambers of hermit crabs. The female isopods are ovate in shape and can reach a size of 8 mm while the males are significantly smaller. These ectoparasites affect the growth and reproductive system of their hosts.
