Description

The Pallid Sturgeon is a large, slow-growing species native to the waters of the Missouri and lower Mississippi River basins. It can grow up to 2 meters and live for over a century. They are distinguished by their pale coloration, lack of a spiracle, and a more elongated and narrow snout compared to other species in the genus. The Pallid Sturgeon is a bottom-dwelling species that feeds on small fish and invertebrates.
