Pacific Cownose Ray [Rhinoptera steindachneri]
Description
The Pacific Cownose Ray, also known as the Golden Cownose Ray, is found in the eastern Pacific Ocean from the Gulf of California to Peru. The species is similar in appearance to the Atlantic Cownose Ray but can be distinguished by a more rounded outer corner of the pectoral fin. They feed mainly on benthic invertebrates including crustaceans and mollusks.
