Pacific Blackmouth Angler [Rhynchactis microthrix]
Description
The Pacific Blackmouth Angler, or Rhynchactis microthrix, is a species native to the eastern Pacific Ocean. It is similar to the Blackmouth Angler, with a black mouth and a long, whip-like rostrum. However, it differs in its slightly smaller size and different distribution. It is a deep-sea species that typically inhabits depths between 800 and 2,000 meters.
