Oriental Lucine [Loripes orbiculatus]

Description
The Oriental Lucine, or Loripes orbiculatus, is a small bivalve species. The shell, which is usually less than 1 cm in length, is white or pale cream, sometimes with brownish radial lines. They are found in soft substrates in shallow coastal waters, typically in sandy or muddy sediments. They are filter feeders, consuming organic matter and symbiotic bacteria from the sediment.
