Orangebell [Marrus orthocanna]

Description
Marrus orthocanna is a species of pelagic siphonophore, a relative of jellyfish, in the family Agalmatidae. Its common name, Orangebell, refers to the orange color of the mature bells. These marine animals are found in the Arctic and the Atlantic Ocean. Marrus orthocanna colonies can reach a length of up to 10 feet. Each colony is composed of many specialized individuals called zooids that are structurally integrated and cannot survive independently.
