Description
The Orange Puffball Sponge is a marine sponge that is orange in color, as suggested by its name. It is known to inhabit depths of 70 to 130 meters in the Northeast Atlantic Ocean. It is a solitary sponge with a spherical body and an osculum on top. The surface is optically smooth, but microscopically hispid. It is sessile, typically found on rocky substrates.
