Ocellated Dragonet [Foetorepus phasis]
Description
The Ocellated Dragonet is a species of marine fish in the family Callionymidae. This species is distributed in the Western Indian Ocean, from the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden, and as far south as South Africa. The Ocellated Dragonet is a benthic species that prefers soft substrates in coastal and inner shelf areas. They have a unique coloration, displaying a series of dark spots, or 'ocelli', on their fins and body.
