Ocellate River Stingray [Potamotrygon ocellata]

Description

Known for its beautiful pattern of eye-like spots, this stingray inhabits the freshwaters of South America. It has a dark brown body with a contrasting pattern of light-colored, ringed spots. This species is bottom-dwelling and feeds on aquatic invertebrates and small fish.
