Northwest African venus [Chamelea mauritiana]

Description
The Northwest African venus is a bivalve mollusc native to the Eastern Atlantic, more specifically to the coasts of Northwest Africa. The shell is rounded, with a slight oval shape, and can reach a size of about 37 mm. The outer surface is white or cream, with dark radial bands. This species lives in sandy substrates, at depths of 5 to 50 meters.
