Description

Cerianthus borealis, or the Northern Cerianthid, is a benthic marine species found in the waters of the Arctic and northern Atlantic Ocean. It is a tube-dwelling anemone that lives in sandy or muddy substrates. The Northern Cerianthid is characterized by its long, slender, and flexible body, and tentacles that can be retracted into its tube when disturbed.
