Description
This species is found in the coastal waters of the North Atlantic, from Scandinavia to the Mediterranean and Black Sea. It inhabits sandy or muddy substrates and is usually found at depths ranging from the intertidal zone to about 30 meters. It can reach up to 7 mm in length. It is characterized by its small size, with a short rostrum and a carapace covering the front part of the body. The abdomen is composed of six segments, with the last one being elongated and carrying a pair of uropods. The body is generally transparent, with the internal organs visible.
