Muddy worm [Owenia fusiformis]

Description
A marine annelid worm species belonging to the genus Owenia. It is known for its tube-dwelling behavior and is commonly found in muddy or sandy sea beds. It has a fusiform body shape, hence its scientific name. The body can reach up to 10 cm in length and is characterized by a segmented, elongated body. Its head, known as the 'introvert', can be retracted into the body. It feeds mainly on micro-organisms.
