Mountainous Star Coral [Orbicella faveolata]

Description
This coral species, also found in the Caribbean, is known for its mountain-like domes and valleys. They are usually brown or yellow in color and reside in both shallow and deep waters. They are known for their high resistance to diseases and temperature changes. They feed on small marine organisms and also get nutrients from the symbiotic algae living within their tissues.
