Mosaic Jellyfish [Thysanostoma thysanura]

Mosaic Jellyfish
Description

The Mosaic Jellyfish, also known as Thysanostoma thysanura, is a species of jellyfish that can be found in the warmer waters of the Pacific and Indian Oceans. This species is known for its unique color patterns that give it its common name. The Mosaic Jellyfish can be easily identified by its large, umbrella-shaped bell that is covered in a network of fine, radiating lines. It also has a fringe of tentacles around the edge of the bell and four long, frilly oral arms that hang down from the center. The Mosaic Jellyfish is a pelagic species and is often found in open waters, but can also be seen near the coast, especially during the breeding season.
