Description
The Mediterranean tube worm or Phyllochaetopterus prolifica is a species of marine polychaete worm predominantly found in the Mediterranean Sea. It is distinguished by its parchment-like tubes, which are constructed from sand and shell fragments, and can reach up to 30 cm in length. This worm uses its numerous chaetae for respiration and feeding, catching particles from the water.
