Marine Bittersweet [Solanum dulcamara]

Description
The Marine Bittersweet, or Solanum dulcamara, is a species of vine in the potato genus Solanum, family Solanaceae. It is native to Europe and Asia, and widely naturalized elsewhere, including the Azores. The plant is usually found in damp, coastal areas, where it grows in hedges, on the banks of ditches, by the sea, and in other damp habitats. It features arrow-heart shaped leaves and produces clusters of star-shaped purple flowers and shiny, oval, red berries.
