Margined Lanternfish [Athorybia marginata]

Description
The Margined Lanternfish, known scientifically as Athorybia marginata, is a member of the Myctophidae family found in the Atlantic Ocean. This species inhabits deep, tropical and subtropical waters and, like other lanternfish, displays vertical migration behavior. The Margined Lanternfish is characterized by its bioluminescent photophores and a well-defined dark lateral line.
