Magellanic Oystercatcher [Haematopus leucopodus]

Description

The Magellanic Oystercatcher is a species of bird in the family Haematopodidae. It is found in Argentina, Chile, and the Falkland Islands. Its natural habitats are freshwater lakes and intertidal marshes. It is a black and white bird with a red bill. They are known to be very territorial and protective over their nests and young.
