Longnose Sawshark [Pristiophorus cirratus]
Description
The Longnose Sawshark is a species of sawshark in the family Pristiophoridae. It is found off the coasts of Australia, from the intertidal zone to a depth of 156 meters. It is characterized by a long, slender saw-like snout equipped with sharp teeth. This sawshark is known to feed on small fish and invertebrates by using its saw to stun its prey before eating.
