Description

The Longnose Butterflyfish is a species of marine fish in the family Chaetodontidae. It is notable for its elongated snout, which it uses to probe into crevices and holes in search of food. The species is widespread throughout the tropical waters of the Indo-Pacific area from the eastern coast of Africa and the Red Sea to Hawaii.
