Description
Halipteris willemoesi, commonly known as the Long-Branch Sea Pen, is a species of sea pen in the family Veretillidae. They are found in the deep waters of the western Pacific Ocean. This species is distinguished by its long, slender and highly branched structure. It is a nocturnal species, retracting its polyps during the day and extending them at night to feed on plankton.
