Description

The Little Lucina, also known as the Ringed Lucina, is a species of bivalve mollusk native to the Gulf of Mexico and the Caribbean Sea. This species prefers muddy or sandy substrate, often in seagrass beds. The shell is small, usually less than 15mm in length, and varies in color from white to light brown. It has a distinctive pattern of concentric growth rings. Like other Divarilucina, it is adapted to low-oxygen habitats.
