Lined Butterflyfish [Chaetodon lineolatus]
Description
The Lined Butterflyfish is a large species that can reach up to 30 cm in length. It is recognized by its thin, vertical stripes across its body and large, round black eye spots on its dorsal fin. Found in coral reefs, this species is widely distributed across the Indo-Pacific region, from the Red Sea to Hawaii. It is an omnivore, feeding on a variety of invertebrates and algae.
