Jouanin's Petrel [Bulweria fallax]
Description
Jouanin's Petrel is a medium-sized petrel, approximately 30–32 cm in length with a wingspan of 81–83 cm. They have a dark, sooty brown body with slightly paler underparts. The tail is long and wedge-shaped, and the bill and legs are black. Jouanin's Petrels are pelagic and are rarely seen near land outside of the breeding season. They breed on islands in the Arabian Sea and feed primarily on squid and fish. These birds are known for their strong and direct flight.
