Description
The intermediate batfish is a species of batfish that is native to the western Atlantic Ocean, specifically in the Gulf of Mexico. It usually resides at depths of 18 to 73 meters. Like other batfish, it is a bottom-dweller that 'walks' on the seafloor using its pectoral fins. It is characterized by its flat body and can grow up to 25 cm in length.
