Indian Skimmer [Rynchops albicollis]
Description
The Indian Skimmer is native to South and Southeast Asia, where its primary habitats include large rivers and lakes. Noted for their distinct black cap and white collar, they share the same 'skimming' method of hunting as their counterparts. These birds are unfortunately threatened due to habitat loss and pollution in their native environments.
