Description
Coelastrea aspera, commonly known as honeycomb coral, is a species of hard coral found in the tropical waters of the Indo-Pacific region. It is known for its tubular corallites, which resemble a honeycomb. The coral is usually brown or green in color and forms large, dome-shaped colonies. It is found in a variety of reef habitats, but is particularly common on reef slopes and in lagoons. It has a slow growth rate and is susceptible to bleaching.
