Description
The Highfin Moray, scientifically known as Gymnothorax pseudothyrsoideus, is a species of Moray Eel found in the Indo-Pacific region. It inhabits coral reefs and rocky shores, often hiding in crevices during the day and emerging to hunt at night. Predominantly brown with white speckles, it is recognized by its elongated body, high dorsal fin, and strong jaw equipped with sharp, backward-pointing teeth. It can grow up to 90 cm in length.
