Description
Escarpia laminata, commonly known as the Gulf tube worm, is a species of tube worm that inhabits the deep sea. It can be found in cold seep environments in the Gulf of Mexico. These worms live in long, chitin-lined tubes and can reach lengths of up to 3 meters. They are known for their longevity, with some individuals estimated to be over 300 years old.
