Great White Pelican [Pelecanus onocrotalus]
Description
The Great White Pelican is a large water bird characterized by its long beak and large throat pouch. It has white feathers with pinkish hue on the neck during breeding season. These birds are found in shallow, warm fresh water and are known to inhabit parts of Europe, Asia and Africa. They feed primarily on fish and are known to work together in groups to corral fish.
