Gill Lice [Argulus foliaceus]

Description
Argulus foliaceus, commonly known as Gill Lice, is a parasitic crustacean found in marine and freshwater habitats. This species attaches itself to the gills, skin, and fins of fish, where it feeds on the host's blood and tissue. Adults are usually 5-10mm in length and are flat with two large suckers which they use to attach to their host. Their body is translucent, allowing them to blend in with their surroundings.
