Description

Gilbert's Parrotfish, or Calotomus gilberti, is a species of parrotfish native to the central Pacific Ocean. It inhabits coral reefs and feeds on algae. It is known for its vibrant green coloration and a parrot-like beak. Like other parrotfish, it changes sex from female to male during its life cycle and plays an important role in maintaining the health of coral reefs.
