Gilbert's Eel [Xenomystax gilberti]
Description
This species is found in the Eastern Central Pacific: Gulf of California to Peru. It lives near the sea floor, at depths of 200 - 500 meters. It has an elongated body with a short, blunt snout and small eyes. It is known to be a solitary species, feeding mainly on invertebrates.
