Giant Pacific Sea Tulip [Pyura haustor]

Description
The Giant Pacific Sea Tulip is a larger relative of the Pacific Sea Tulip. This species is found deeper in the ocean, ranging from the subtidal zone to depths of up to 100 meters. The Giant Pacific Sea Tulip has a similar tulip-like shape but is distinguished by its larger size and lighter red color. Like its smaller counterpart, it is a filter feeder, but due to its larger size, it can consume larger quantities of plankton.
