Freshwater Mullet [Myxus capensis]
Description
The Freshwater Mullet, or Myxus capensis, is a species of grey mullet. It is native to the coastal waters of the southeastern Atlantic Ocean along the coast of South Africa and Mozambique, where it lives in estuaries and rivers. They are known to prefer brackish waters and have a diet that mainly consists of detritus and algae.
