Freshwater Jellyfish [Craspedacusta sowerbii]

Description
This is a species of freshwater jellyfish in the family Olindiidae. It is native to the Yangtze river in China, but has been introduced worldwide. The adult medusa is bell-shaped with a diameter of up to 25 millimeters, and it has many short, fine tentacles around the edge, and several longer and thicker tentacles, the oral arms, in a central position by the mouth. The jellyfish spends most of its life in the polyp stage, only becoming a medusa under certain environmental conditions.
