Flame Scallop [Ctenoides scaber]

Description
The Flame Scallop or Rough Fileclam is a marine bivalve mollusk. It is named for the vibrant, flame-like displays of light that appear to 'flicker' along the edge of its mantle. This species is nocturnal and usually found anchored in crevices of reefs or hidden in gorgonian corals in the tropical western Atlantic and Caribbean.
