Finless Sole [Pardachirus pavoninus]
Description
Also known as the Peacock sole, this species is native to the warm seas of the western Pacific Ocean. The Finless Sole is characterized by its flat body, small eyes, and lack of dorsal and anal fins. This species hides in sandy or muddy environments during the day and comes out to forage for food at night. Its diet primarily consists of small benthic invertebrates.
