Fasciated Tiger Heron [Tigrisoma fasciatum]
Description
The Fasciated Tiger Heron is found in the riverine habitats of Central and South America. It is larger and more slender than the Rufescent Tiger Heron, with a black crown and a heavily streaked neck. It feeds mainly on fish, but also takes small mammals and birds. It is primarily solitary and nocturnal.
